At this blessed meeting..

at the beginning of this lecture of this blessed night..

under the title which is; The houses as mentioned in Noble Quran.

Homes for people..

are the places where they can find comfort..

and they are not like any other places.

When you go travelling..

you usually spend some time in fancey accommodations.

However, after spending some time there..

you would miss your home.

and Non-Arabs..

They know this about themselves..

It was narrated that..

Mu'awiyah Ibn Abi Sufyan.. may Allah be pleased of him..

he married a woman, he name was Maysoon.

she is the mother of his son; Yazeed..

She was from a rural area..

and he brought her to the city of Damascus..

At that time, Damascus was the capital of Islam.

She lived in his palace in Ash-Sham..

Once, he heard her saying poetry:

' A house with winds wiggling inside..

I love it more than a luxurious palace.'

'And wearing a shabby wear, while I'm contented..

I love it more than wearing a fine silk.'

etc.. with her saying..

With this introduction from history..

we are beginning our talk, today..

The word; Al-Bait.. the house..

or the houses..

was frequently mentioned in Quran..

and, we are not going to talk about all the verses..

because, this will take a long time.

But, we are going to give you the approximate indication..

as much as we can.

The greatest among houses, the most honorable..

are houses in Al-Jannah.

because they are everlasting.. for eternally..

So, the residence in Jannah..

is the residence of dignity..

and the residence of peace.

Allah, Almighty, has promised..

his righteous servants to have it.

This house in Al-Jannah..

can be obtained by..

or after doing things.

The most important of these..

is to supplicate Allah, Almighty..

to grant you a house in Al-Jannah..

Alla, Almighty, said in His Great Book..

"And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh." 66:11

"..when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.. "

".. and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds.. "

"..and save me from the wrongdoing people.". "

Asiya Bint Muzahim, was not humiliated..

nor oppressed..

living in a desert..

But, she was living in the palace of Pharaoh..

and she was his wife.

And, Pharaoh was an arrogant man..

every rational person knows this about him.

It is enough that he used to say..

As Allah said about him..

"And he gathered [his people] and called out." 79:23

"And said, "I am your most exalted lord.". " 79:24

Some people of Tafsir.. and of history.. they said:

When Allah, Almighty, has commanded..

His two messengers, Moses and Haron.. to go to Pharaoh

They remained waiting..

for two years..

at the door of pharaoh..

waiting for a permission to enter!

Till one day, there was a man..

he used to entertain Pharaoh, making him laugh..

A funny foolish man.

[Battal] is the term in Arabic.

So, he used to entertain Pharaoh and make him laugh..

One day, he came in..

and he saw these two honored prophets..

He said to Pharaoh;

Today, I saw a strange thing, at your door.

And Pharaoh used to listen to him..

He said: What did you see?

He said; I saw two men claiming that..

they have a God other than you.

So, Pharaoh became angry..

and he wanted to see them.. to talk to them..

Then, he allowed them to enter..

and the rest of the story, as Allah told us about him.

However, when Asiya, peace be upon her.. has believed..

Allah, Almighty, said about her that she said..

and Allah has made her an example for the believers, men and women..

".. she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.. " 66:11

So, as you know..

her priority was the neighbour rather than..

the location.

Because, Arabs usually mention the location first..

e.g. they say..

My Lord, build a house for me, near You in Paradise.

But, she said: My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.

So, she didn't mention the house first..

she said; [near you].. first..

because her priority was to be near Allah..

rather than having the house, itself.

That was the first method, to get a house in Jannah..

The second method is..

He, SAW, said:

'He who built a mosque for Allah, While he seeks the pleasure of Allah (by building the mosque)..

Allah would build for him a house in Paradise.'

This is a good deed..

and, Allah, Almighty, made it a reason..

for building houses in Jannah.

And, the Muslims were, from the beginning of Islam..

till today..

and the praise is to Allah, and the appreciation of His bounty..

Like in this country..

kings, the princes, the wealthy individuals..

They are still..

Al-Hamdulillah, building mosques..

on their behalf..

and on behalf of their parents, their relatives, etc..

and all of these are geatly advantageous..

The aim is..

having houses built is Paradise.

another cause of that..

He, the truthful, the most believed, SAW, he said:

In Hadith of Mu'adh Ibn Anas, in Al-Musnad of Ahmad..

he said: 'Whoever recited; Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad

10 times..

Allah will build a house for him in Jannah,'

And, about this same Surah, it was documented in another Hadith..

in Al-Musnad too..

The prophet, SAW, has told that it is equivalent to..

1/3 of Al-Quran.

And the scholars gave different explanations for this..

the most important among them is;

As we know that Al-Quran consists of;

and Aqidah; faith.

And, Al-Aqidah consists of the Names of Allah, Almighty, and His attributes..

and before that, it consists of proofs of His Oneness..

His Lordship and His Divinity, the Exalted.

Some interpreters said..

and, Allah knows best..

that; Quraish said..

to the prophet, SAW..

'O Muhammad, tell us the lineage of your Lord.'

Then, Allah, Almighty, sent this Surah..

"Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One." 112:1

"Allah, the Eternal Refuge." 112:2

"He neither begets nor is born. " 112:3

"Nor is there to Him any equivalent.". " 112:4

However, we need to know..

A thing might have an equivalent..

but, this does not replace it.

An analogous, but not a substitute

and the prophet, SAW, is truthful and trusted..

He said; It is equivalent to 1/3 of Quran.

So, definitely it is equivalent to 1/3 of Quran.

However, a person would say;

I've read the Mus'haf!

and, he just began reading..

we would ask him; how could you read Al-Mus'haf, and you have began reading just now?

and he said: I've read Surah; Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad.. 3 times..

and It is equivalent to 1/3 of Quran.

This is not correct..

equivalent to 1/3 of Quran, is one thing..

and to replace reading the whole Quran..

is another thing.

So, we must understand properly..

the meanings of his words, SAW..

For example..

He, SAW, said:

'Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj.'

And in another narration of Muslim;

'.. Equal to the performance of Hajj with me.'

And he said;

Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to the QubaMosque..

and offers two Raku'a therein, will have a reward like that forUmrah.'

So, a person living in Al-Madinah, he can't say..

I went during Ramadan..

to masjid Quba and prayed two Raku'a inside the masjid..

then, I will have a reward ofUmrah as the prophet, SAW, said.

Two things might be equal..

but they are not the same.

So, reading this Surah 10 times is one of the things that will be rewarded by having a house in Jannah.

and this reward is from the great requests..

and the sublime goals.

Next, we will speak about the subject in relation to Dunya..

about the Houses [Al- Bouote].. of Dunya.

as mentioned in Quran and Sunnah.

[Al- Bouote] are of two categories..

[Bouot] for worshipping..

and [Bouot] for living.. and shelter..

and similar uses..

So, [Bouot] of worshipping are called..

The houses of Allah.

Allah said in his great book..

" in mosques which Allah has ordered.. " 24:36

".. to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein. "

and it is not the same..

any house on earth..

and The House of Allah, Almighty.

No house on earth is like Bait Allah, Almighty.

So, Allah, Almighty, says about Al-Ka'abah:

"Allah has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House.. " 5:97

".. standing for the people.. "

And, Allah has Glorified this [Bait].

Some historians said..

When Allah, Almighty, has commanded the heaven and the earth to answer Him..

",, and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion.".. " 41:11

".. They said.. " Both of them..

".."We have come.. "

i.e. the heaven and the earth.

".."We have come willingly.". "

They said that the earth answered..

from the the site of Al-Ka'aba today.

And, in Hadith..

Allah has made Makkah a sacred place..

the day He has created the heaven and earth.

And, it is more apparent that, at the time of Adam, Al-Ka'aba was built.. and we know this..

I mean, the Angels had built it for Adam, peace be upon him.

it was built by the Angels for Adam, peace be upon him.

So, Allah, Almighty, has kept this old Bait of Him, as a Glorified place.

And He made it as a Qiblah, of all Muslims, during their lives and after their death.

And, it is the greatest [Bait] that was mentioned in Quran.

Allah said:

"And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House.. " 22:26

".. [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me.. "

This was about..

[Bait] Allah.

As for the other masjids..

we've mentioned this verse:

"in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein.. " 24:36

".. exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings. "

"[Are] men whom neither commerce nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah.. " 24:37

".. and performance of prayer and giving of zakah. They fear a Day.. "

".. in which the hearts and eyes will [fearfully] turn about. "

If a person is pondering upon this Dunya..

its countries.. its houses..

and all that on it..

He will find places where there is only.. obscenity.

and alcohol drinks..

and lower standards..

all of that, which are there..

are the very far away from..

the religion of Allah, Almighty..

In all lands, of the east and the west.

And, he will know..

that Allah, Almighty..

has honored and glorified..

the houses..

in which Allah has ordered to be raised..

and that His name, Almighty, be mentioned therein.

and they are His houses.. [the masjids].

You know, that Allah, Almighty, said in the verse before this verse..

".. Allah guides to His light whom He wills.. " 24:35

then, He guided people to the places where His light is present..

in the next verse..

".. Allah guides to His light whom He wills.. "

".. And Allah presents examples for the people.. "

then, Allah, Almighty, told us..:

"in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein.. "

".. exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings. "

In Quran, Allah, Almighty, has told us about Bani Israel..

and that he inspired to Moses and his brother Haron..

He said:

".. "Settle your people in Egypt in houses.. " 10:87

".. and make your houses qiblah.. "

the scholars gave different indications of this part of the verse..

when Allah said to these two honored prophets and to their people..

".. and make your houses qiblah.. "

Some scholars said..

i.e. to make their houses as masjids.

others said; to make their houses facing Qiblah..

And, Allah knows..

if their Qibla at that time, was facing Al-Ka'aba..

as some scholars said..

or the Bait of Al-Maqdis..

which is the most probable..

But, as for the verse, it seems that..

it is not about the Qibla as we know it.

And we consider that the most probable meaning is about..

having their houses, facing one another[Mutaqabilah]..

close to each other..

forming a united sigle community.

And this is an introduction.. a first step..

before Allah would command them..

to leave Misr.. to another location..

".."Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued.". " 26:52

Allah knew that they will leave Misr..

and that Pharaoh will go after them..

And for Moses to tell his people..

about the time of departing.. easily..

their houses should be close, in the same place.

This is the best explanation..

of the verse..

".. and make your houses qiblah.. "

Allah, Almighty, has mentioned his prophet; Yusuf..

However, Yusuf was at a time before the time of Moses.

and his house was not mentioned in Quran.

but, Allah has mentioned the house, where he was raised.

where that woman became fond of him.

Allah, Almighty, said:

"And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him.. " 12:23

".. She closed the doors.. "

and you know the story.

and, no need to repeat telling it now.

But from this story we can understand that..

the wise person..

he knows..

the details of his house..

the doors leading to it and out of it..

and not to allow everyone entering his house.

You know the story about the hypocrites..

who invented lies about the purity..

the chastity of Umm Al-Mumineen..

Aisha, may Allah be pleased of her and please her.

Then, later, when the prophet wanted to explain to people..

his feeling about the matter..

he said..

as the hypocrites has made Safwan Bin Al-Mu'attal, involved in the case.

He, SAW, said..

[as in relation to our subject.]

He said about Safwan:

'.. they have accused a man..

he never entered my house except in my company.'

He meant to explain to them that, Safwan never entered the house of the prophet, SAW, as he wishes.

he doesn't enter the house at any time.

He said: '.. they have mentioned a righteous man..'

He means; Safwan.

".. and he never entered my house except in my company.'

That being said, also the honored wise man, like you..

and like our viewers..

he should respect the honor of his house..

and not to give permission to everybody..

at any time, day and night..

to enter his house.

Even, if they were working for him.

whatever the situation.

and you should be knowing about what's going on.

about who is coming and who is leaving..

controlling everything..

just to prevent the planning of Satan.

and living safe, away from misconduct.

We still have a lot to say about; Houses..

as mentioned in Noble Quran..

By the will of Allah, Almighty, we will continue talking about this..

next meeting..

And, Allah knows best.

And may Salat be upon Muhammad and his family.

And all praise be due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
