That was some show Sally Barker, and I think...
we're beginning to see the performance that was there all along...
when life got in the way.
And now it's your turn again, so.
Hello. - Hi there.
What's your name? - I'm Sally.
How long have you been singing for?
I've been singing for about 35 years I would say, in front of people.
I've been a singer and musician for the last 30 odd years...
and it's not an easy profession.
You don't make a lot of money unless you hit the big time.
For a period of about 15 years, I was quite succesful...
and I toured quite a lot I was asked to...
do supports for various famous acts and among those was Bob Dylan...
and Robert Plant.
Then I had kids and things slowed down because you can't go off on tour...
for weeks on end when you've got kids.
When the kids were very small, my husband became ill with cancer.
So that made my life take on quite a different turn.
I was 42 when my husband died.
It was quite a young age to be a widow...
with two small kids, but we've survived.
I did try to keep singing and to keep gigging...
but it's quite difficult because you have to think about the kids...
And what their needs are, it did pretty much go in to the back burner.
That was so moving. - Thank you, thank you very much.
And the excitement that I feel when I feel like I match with the right person.
I'm feeling that excitement for Tom. - Yeah.
I think the three of us instinctively knew you as this...
beautiful dove of a voice had to fly that way.
Well first of all for me... Let me see, it was just full of emotion.
It was so beautiful, that I couldn't help myself.
And you sang so beautiful... - Thank you.
That it got to me, you swept me off my feet.
Oh well, off my chair or whatever you...
Which ever way you wanna put it.
you have the most beautiful voice, that has been on this show so far.
Thank you - And that's a fact.
That's praise indeed.
Unless you have something else to say, you're with me and we're gonna...
be great together, believe me.
- Thank you very much.
May I hug you? - Of course you can.
Oh, thank you.
So my first pairing will be between...
Sally and Talia.
The song that I picked is by Olly Murs, and it's called: Dear Darling.
I don't know that, I don't know that at all.
I don't really know the song. I rang my kids.
It's called Dear Darling, by somebody called Olly Murs.
It still pretty much a mystery to me. So I'll just have to wait and see.
I would lean towards Sally.
There's such clarity in your voice, and you're just like transcendent.
I must congratulate both of you because you made a great duet there.
And when Sally sang she hit me so so hard...
with the emotion so um.
Well, the winner of this battle...
Congratulations Sully, that's amazing. How are you feeling?
A bit choked, yeah.
I'm gonna sing Walk On By.
It's a song that reminds me of when I was a teenager.
And I wanted to do something different with it.
Less is more. You don't have to bash ten bells out of something.
I like to change things and once you've established a...
melody then you can change it.
It's been a really interesting journey I'm really enjoying it.
Sally brings an aura that she has.
And people feel it in the room It's magical.
Beautiful, she makes the room stop. - Yep.
Sally, congratulations. You are staying on Team Tom.
I think we're beginning to see the performance that was there all along...
when life got in the way. And now it's your turn again, so.
There's a dark and fragile quality to your voice that I can't...
put my finger on, I just know that I can't wait to hear it again next week.
We all feel the depth and the maturity in your voice.
But there's this lightness is this girliness that just gives....
it that extra thing that is, I think what's blowing our minds.
I think you look younger now - It's the show.
I gotta have a bit of that myself.
The more I get to know Sally, the funnier she becomes.
So what are you gonna be wearing on Saturday?
- Hot pants?
Really? - No.
I think I've relaxed into the process and it's not to do with singing...
It has to do with everything else that surrounds The Voice.
I'm one sing away from the final. One. Sing. Away. From the final.
That's exciting as well as a little bit scary.
Great to see you, good to hear you. And good luck.
she always manages is transport us somewhere and tonight...
was no different Another flawless performance.
And so uplifting as well, which is great, I loved it.
The support for my friends of family has been tremendous...
Oh, that's amazing!
Mum has been really excited to be coming back to see everyone.
She actually gets to see how much everyone really loves her...
And supports her through the journey.
We love you, Sally and we're really proud
Good luck tonight, Team Tom and Sally for the win.
Yeah of course we're proud! - I'm very proud.
I'm not sure who's the proudest but we're all quite proud.
We're so thrilled for her, yeah. Absolutely.
We just love you to bits Sally, we're behind you 100% of the way.
Go for it.
The nation has chosen, the wait is over. This is it.
The artist with the most viewer votes tonight, and therefore the winner...
of The Voice 2014 is:
- It's Jermain!
