Our mission is to calculate the start, end, and days in the month.

To find out the end of the month, we use the EOMONTH function.

Select the date.

Type 0 to return the last day of the same selected month.

Press Enter, then copy the formula down.

Lock the cell.

Copy the formula to the adjacent cell.

Change the 0 to -1.

Add 1 to the formula.

Unlock the cell, then press Enter.

Copy the formula down.

And this is the start of each month.

The day function extracts just the day from a given date.

Using it with the EOMONTH function return the number of days of that month.
