Hey Dr. Fowlkes, what is bisexual? I've heard that the definition has changed.
What does it mean now? That's an excellent question.
So, bisexual used to mean that you're attracted to a man or a woman. But, what
we've come to understand is that gender really doesn't operate on a binary. It's
much more nuanced than that and so now when we say bisexual what most people
mean is that they are attracted to two or more genders and that they are
attracted to the same and different gender. So when you think bi now when you
think of those two things think of two or more, same and different. So now, when
someone says I'm bisexual what they're saying is I'm attracted to my gender
type and at least one or more other gender types. It's really important to
understand that, so that you don't think that people are operating on the binary
if they really aren't
