NEARLY 200 GRADUATES FROM

MINNECHAUG HIGH SCHOOL PLAYED

FLAG

FOOTBALL TODAY, TO HONOR THE

LIVES OF TWO CLASSMATES... WHO

DIED MUCH TOO SOON.

EDDIE FALLON AND JOHN GREGWOIRE

GRADUATED IN 2011... THEY WERE

BOTH

FOOTBALL CAPTAINS AT MINNECHAUG

HIGH SCHOOL.

THEIR CLASSMATES HELD A FLAG

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT TODAY, TO

RAISE MONEY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP IN

THEIR NAMES.

ONE OF THE ORGANIZERS, TOLD

22NEWS, THE OUTCOME - WAS EVEN

BETTER THAN THEY HAD HOPED FOR!

24 TEAMS, AND MORE THAN 190

PLAYERS SIGNED UP FOR THE

TOURNAMENT.

WHEN YOU GET TWO YOUNG GUYS WHO

PASS AWAY AT

THE AGE THAT THEY DID IT CAN

OFTENTIMES BE A REALLY SAD

THING, AND WE DIDN'T WANT IT TO

BE THAT

WAY AND THAT'S WHY WE HELD THIS.

AND I FEEL AWESOME, WE DID NOT

EXPECT THIS MANY PEOPLE

TO COME OUT.

THE ORGANIZERS- HAVE ALREADY

SURPASSED THEIR ORIGINAL

FUNDRAISING

GOAL, OF $5-THOUSAND DOLLARS.
