JENNIFER: THE FAMILY OF A SOLDIER CAPTURED AND KILLED IN NORTH KOREA WELCOMED HIM BACK HOME THURSDAY REMEMBERING HIS LIFE AND FINDING CLOSURE AFTER OVER 67 YEARS BURIED OVERSEAS.

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS LESTER WALKER ALONG WITH FAMILY WERE ESCORTED BACK HOME BY THE PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS.

HE IS COMING IN FROM HAWAII AND WE ARE HERE TO WELCOME HIM HOME AND TAKE HIM TO LOUISIANA.

JENNIFER: THE GROUP HONORS THOSE SERVING OUR COUNTRY BY ASSISTING FAMILIES OF VETERANS AND SOMETIMES BEING THE ONLY FAMILY FOR A SOLDIER RETURNING HOME.

>> THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BETTER TIMES THAT WE ARE BRINGING SOMEBODY HOME AND GIVING CLOSER TO THE FAMILY.

>> PROBABLY 90% OF US ARE MILITARY ANYWAY AND IT JUST HITS HOME.

THATS WHAT PATRIOT GUARD IS ABOUT.

JENNIFER: WALKERS FAMILY AND SUPPORTERS SAY HE WENT TO WAR AT ONLY 16 AND WENT MISSING IN ACTION AT 19.

>> DAY AFTER THEY PUT HIM IN THE POW CAMP THEY ESCORTED HIM TO THE WOODS AND WAS ANOTHER SOLDIER AND THEY EXECUTED HIM.

JENNIFE: WALKERS FUNERAL IS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY IN HIS HOMETOWN OF WEST MONROE, LOUISIANA.

>> I THINK THE GOOD LORD THAT HE HAS KEPT ME HERE LONG ENOUGH TO SEE HIM AGAIN.
