What are the different types of Anointing?

Many Christians are still assuming that the Anointing is just one thing, one act.

Weve heard the teachings that the Anointing is the image of the Holy Spirit, which is

absolutely true, but the Holy Spirit came to do a lot of things.

He doesnt limit Himself to just one task.

So when were talking about Anointing, that can be for many purposes, which can also be

seen in the Bible.

When Anointing Oil is used, it needs a purpose and it needs faith in that purpose.

Examples of some different types of Anointing are the personal Anointing, which is the personal

use of Anointing Oil, the Anointing of the sick, the Anointing for a specific task, the

Anointing for deliverance, the Anointing of garments, the Anointing of places, the Anointing

of items, the Anointing of honorable guests, the Anointing of leaders etc.

These are clearly all different types of Anointing, all with a specific purpose and yet all with

one thing in common, which is to dedicate something or someone to the Lord for that

specific purpose.

We always say that everyone is allowed to use Anointing Oil for their own personal use

and that is still true.

But not everyone is allowed to use Anointing Oil for other purposes.

I will give a few examples of that as well.

In the case of the Anointing of the sick, the Bible clearly says that we first have

to call the elders.

The Anointing for a specific task can and may only be done by an appointed leader or

when the Holy Spirit clearly says and confirms it.

The Anointing of leaders can and may only be done by leaders.

Those are just a few examples.

The most important thing is that you need to be dependent on the Holy Spirit in everything

you do.

If you believe that the Spirit of God tells you to Anoint someone or something for a specific

purpose, then first ask for confirmation, and if youre not sure, ask if you have

the authority to do that.

But once again, when it comes to the personal Anointing, you do have the authority and you

are allowed to use Anointing Oil to Anoint yourself on a daily basis, or more often than

that.

There is so much more to share about the Anointing and the Anointing Oil.

You know, a few years ago I was sitting here...

in this exact spot, thinking I should really quickly write

a few studies about the Anointing and the Anointing Oil.

And I thought I knew most of it

most of what there is to know about these topics.

At that point the Holy Spirit stopped me and said:

There is more, there is more.

But are you willing to go after it?

I am willing to give it to you

but are you willing to take this challenge and to go after it?

Well, I took the challenge and I ended up with 345 verses

in the Bible that speak about

the Anointing and the Anointing Oil.

And the amazing thing is that it is not only

the Old Testament that speaks about

the Anointing and the Anointing Oil.

The New Testament actually says a lot about it as well.

And now you can learn everything that Ive learned

throughout this journey, which took me a half year.

Because after all my studying and taking all these notes

I ended up with a book, called The Anointed Bride.

Today you can order your copy

and learn the same things that I have learned

in that half year.
