But the challenge for us is to learn who God really is and in a

mindful way come before his presence each day when we do that we're gonna see

how it tunes our lives how it orient's our compass how it changes the way we

treat others how it changes the way we we live ourselves how it changes our

priorities how it changes our goals that's when the when when the cares of

my heart are many when my burdens heavy when I'm concerned about things and I

can't get them off my mind when I'm worried sick when I just don't see a way

out when the cares of my heart are many the psalmist said your consolations

cheer my soul the consolations of God those are the affirmations that we have

in scripture that he loves us and he cares for us that he's not a fickle God

he's a constant God that he's not a God who sleeps he's always diligent he's

always present he's not an impotent God he's a God over all if we are just

looking at the world below us if we are just looking at where our feet

are going if we're seeing things the way we might see them we will be distorted

in what we see but if we can have God's view of things we will understand how

important everyone is how important it is we show love how important it is that

we be peacemakers how important it is that we be leaders in this that we sew

into our culture this deep and abiding care and love for everyone and we show

respect for property but we never let things Trump the cares and compassion's

of God's heart his people regardless of race ethnicity social

standing or anything else the psalmist tells us to come before the

Lord with joyful noise to sing songs to him of praise whether we're in the

depths or whether we're on the mountaintops it's appropriate to come

before the Lord with a song may God reign in this earth

may God reign in my life I should be seeking first today the Kingdom of God

I should be seeking for God to reign that means that God should reign in in

my attitudes how I treat others how I approached tasks God should reign in my

attitudes God should reign in my actions what I do what choices I make today God

should reign in my appetites not just the food I consume physically but the

food I consume in my mind what do I look at today what am I feeding in my life

you
