The British royal family has taken many precautions during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with

the Queen canceling all future events and Princess Beatrice considering postponing her

May 2020 wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

But these safeguards didn't prevent Prince Charles, 71, from contracting COVID-19, a

diagnosis confirmed by Clarence House on March 25th.

In a statement released shortly afterwards, the royal household said:

"He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been

working from home throughout the last few days as usual."

The statement also noted:

"It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high

number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks."

Although Prince Charles seems to be doing well, his diagnosis is probably concerning

for his family members.

So it's nice to hear that the Prince of Wales reportedly called Prince William and Harry

shortly after testing positive for the virus.

Charles was reportedly tested for coronavirus on March 23rd, and received his positive diagnosis

the following day.

The Prince of Wales' 72-year-old wife, Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles, tested

negative for coronavirus, and is self-isolating separately.

As for the royal's two sons, he reportedly last saw them in person on March 9th.

Prince Charles is thought to have become infectious on March 13th, so it's unlikely he passed

on the virus to Princes William and Harry.

Still, the grandfather of four reportedly called his boys after receiving his test results

and although it's not clear what was discussed during their chat, you can probably take a

wild guess.

When the call was made, Prince Charles was in Balmoral, Scotland, William was in Norfolk

and Harry was in Canada.

British media correspondent Neil Sean told Fox News that the Duke of Sussex wanted to

return straight away to England after learning the news, but was told by Charles not to travel,

assuring his son that he will be fine.

A palace source also alleged to Sean that Prince Harry and Prince William are now on

speaking terms again, and that this incident has healed the rift between the two that had

been ongoing for the past few years.

And although it's unfortunate Prince Charles has the coronavirus, it's good to know that

his sons are taking preventive measures against the virus.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly quarantined in Canada, with the couple trying

to establish a sense of normalcy in all this.

Markle, for instance, supposedly spends her time video chatting with her friends, and

has even exchanged home cooking recipes with them.

As for the Duke of Sussex, he's staying informed on the latest health updates, as evidenced

by the pair's Sussex Royal Instagram account.

In a post written on March 24th, Harry wrote:

"For all of us, the best way we can support health workers is to make sure we do not make

their job any harder by spreading this disease further."

Meanwhile, Prince William has also worked to raise awareness about the virus, visiting

National Health Service health care workers to give his thanks for their hard work.

The Duke of Cambridge also shared a video message for the public.

"Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the United Kingdom have a unique

ability to pull together."

Queen Elizabeth reportedly last saw her son, Prince Charles, on March 12th.

That's just one day before the Prince of Wales became infectious, although the timing shouldn't

be cause for alarm.

Former royal physician Dr. Anna Hemming told Vanity Fair:

"Her Majesty The Queen remains in good health."

She also noted that the two week-window since their last meeting is a good buffer against

the virus.

In the meantime, the Queen is doing her best to keep busy.

Discussing the royal family's future plans, a source told Vanity Fair:

"We're thinking outside the box and working out how to do things differently because we

might be in this situation for weeks if not months.

No one wants to sit around doing nothing so we're coming up with other ways to do things.

Digital is now the way forward."
