Koreas Defense Acquisition Program Administration... is planning to develop four key technologies

for its fighter jet project... that the United States has refused to transfer to Korea.

The decision was outlined in a report to President Park Geunhye... by DAPA Minister Chang

Myoungjin... in a closed door meeting on Tuesday.

The technologies include multipurpose radar and radio frequency jammers.

Separately... another DAPA official said the agency aims to secure major operational

algorithms from Israel Britain or Sweden... in order to develop the source codes needed

for the technologies. Lockheed Martin had initially agreed to transfer

25 technologies for the KFX project... but the U.S. government barred export of four

core technologies citing International Traffic in Arms regulations.
