My name is Philipp Jonas and I teach economics at KVCC.

If this were an ordinary graduation,

I would be the person who hands your diploma

to the person who hands it to Dr. Washington

who hands it to you.

But this is no ordinary graduation.

Which is why I'm even more proud of you

for having earned your degree or certificate today.

This makes you forever part of the KVCC community.

And I know you will use what you've learned here

to be a better person and make our world a better place.
