Jacqueline Huaman is a senior Japanese and Asian studies student at the University of Oregon from New Jersey. She has been working at AEI since summer 2015 as a conversation partner, in addition to the tutoring help desk. Occasionally, she works in classrooms as a tutor.Jacqueline enjoys reading, music and video games, and she speaks three languages: English, Japanese and French. She also enjoys exploring the food and events on campus and in Eugene.“Eugene is a beautiful city and it has a lot of great restaurants, so I would recommend just exploring the city and trying some new food once in a while. On campus, the ISO Coffee Hour is a great place to hang out with your friends and meet new friends as well! I also recommend going to Ducks After Dark where you can watch popular American movies and do fun activities (and there’s free food!).”
