Assalamu Alaykum (Peace be with you) I wanted to plant

seeds today

but before I do that I wanted to show you quickly how things are growing in this bed.

I started this bed in May

I want to show how the cucumbers are growing

This summer I harvest a lot of cucumbers. Earlier this morning

I saw this cantaloupe melon growing.

So, before I start on other stuff in the garden, I wanted to quickly show you this update.

This is a baby cucumber that is justing forming.

I'm looking through here..

to see if I missed any cucumbers

growing under here

or cantaloupe melons.

Look at the size

Wow

Who needs a grocery store when you can grow in home garden?!

In this bed, I recently harvested potatoes.

As we head to September,

in my area we are getting fall season.

meaning summer ends.

When summer crops ends

we get in to fall crops/fall harvest

So, today I am sowing

vegetables that can take cold temperatures.

Today I am sowing 2 types of Spinach seeds

and Swish Chard.

I've never heard of this plant in Somali..!

But when you look at the picture

the plant looks like collards/kale.

lets says its Collards/Kale's cousin..!

InshaAllah (God Willing) I will try to sow these seeds today.

I first want to prep the bed

As I said, I recently harvested potatoes from this bed.

I also harvested tiny (epic fail) potatoes from these blue buckets.

I worked this bed well during my potato harvest.

So now, I just want to loosen the soil a bit.

now that the soil is loosened..

I'll try to level the bed

Because I don't want water to run off on 1 side of the bed.
