Hello this is the storm update on Friday October 14 at 11 am.

We have a big storm system that will impact the area over the weekend especially saturday.

We're expecting the biggest impacts to be over the ocean and along the coastline.

But strong winds will also be felt inland as well as well as very heavy rain.

But the life threatening conditions will be over the ocean with dangerous surf, high seas,

we're expecting breakers of 30 to 35 feet on Saturday and some coastal flooding with

the high tide around noon on Saturday.

Very heavy rain with an atmospheric river will occur.

The river levels despite the recent rainfall are still very low.

We don't expect the major rivers to flood.

We could see urban and small stream flooding during the heaviest rainfall rates.

Possible Impacts this Weekend Life threatening coastal winds and seas, dangerous

surf, beach erosion, and localized coastal flooding from storm surge.

Another round of very heavy rain.

Urban and small stream flooding possible during the highest rain rates.

Flooding near clogged drains and sewers.

Flash flooding possible in recent wildfire burn scars.

Damaging winds, mainly for the coast, high elevations, Shasta Valley and favored eastside

locations.

Foliage still on the trees will worsen the damage.

Power outages likely.

How widespread????

Isolated thunderstorms west of the Cascades Saturday with the potential for damaging winds.
