LCD Removal

To begin, you will want to get your Torx T6 screwdriver.

And you will want to remove the three Torx T6 screws located here.

And two here.

And on the other side,

You will notice three Torx T6 screws located here and here.

Also you will notice the connection of the inverter board

onto the Logic Board.

And the video cable which runs from the Logic Board, into the LCD.

Begin by removing the video cable.

You will simply want to wiggle the video cable free,

and lift out.

Also the inverter cable.

Should slide free from the Logic Board.

You will want to get your flathead screwdriver,

and gently slide this from its connector on the Logic Board.

The black connector should pop free from the Logic Board.

You will also notice the tape that is holding the connectors in place.

Simply peel that back and free.

Now you will want to remove the three Torx T6 screws

from the LCD.

You will notice that the video cable

is held in by a small connection by the last screw

on the right side.

This helps ground the cable when the LCD is lifted up or down.

You will also notice that the innermost scew

is not threaded all the way thru.

You will want to remember this when putting the LCD back in.

Lift the video cable up to remove the screw from the holder.

You will also notice two more screws

that are held in by the clutch.

Remove these as well.

You will want to hold the LCD

in the removal of the last screw.

Once the last screw is free simply lift up and out to remove the LCD.
