The goal in this program for over 55 years has been to offer...

...exposure to the fundamentals of American Law.

It's less about the rules, it's less about the law...

...than it is about the method of thinking about the law.

Students will take four courses that are typically compulsory...

...and one or two more they must take off the electives.

But many students I found over time have taken all eight.

They often tell me that they come away from the programme...

...with a better sense of how their legal systems differ...

...and how better to explain those differences.

I chose this program because I found it an unique opportunity...

...to get to know people from all around the world...

...and also to study American topics of law with amazing professors.

The program is amazing because the professors are very good...

...they teach us contract law, corporations based on cases...

...because it's the common law.

So we learned a lot about the subjects.

I want to work as a lawyer in New York.

I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to meet...

...the Columbian professors, have an introduction to American Law...

...and meet students who have a similar interest.

It's everything I thought it would be, and better!

The teachers are amazing and we made such a good...

...little group connection.

We had classes in the morning. A big lunch all together.

We have a couple of hours downtime and then we're going on a boat.

There's a ceremony.

And then a big party at the end of course.
