CONTINUE TO SEE SOME OF THAT

LIGHT SNOW AROUND 30 TO 20%

CHANCE, THAT MAKES BACK AND

FORTH, AND THEN TAPERING OFF IN

THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

WE WILL HAVE MORE ABOUT HOW WE

FINALLY SEE A GREAT WEEKEND,

COMING UP IN JUST A BIT.

WEST OF FORT WORTH, THE

STORM SYSTEM HAS DROPPED PRETTY

MUCH ANYTHING.

FREEZING RAIN, SLEET, SNOW.

JASON ALLEN LIVE IN GRAHAM

TONIGHT, WISHING HE HAD HIS

KIDS WITH HIM, WHERE THE CITY

IS STILL ADDING TO THE SNOW

TOTAL AT THIS HOUR.

THEY STILL ARE.

WE HAVE BEEN HAVING SNOW HERE,

PRETTY LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW

FOR THE BETTER PART OF THE LAST

THREE HOURS OR SO.

THERE'S A COUPLE INCHES ON THE

GROUND, YOU CAN SEE IT IS HERE

IN THE PARKING LOTS, IT IS ON

THE STREET OUT HERE AS WELL.

THIS WAS A STORM TODAY AS WE

TRAVELED THROUGH PARTS OF EIGHT

DIFFERENT COUNTIES THAT

SOMETIMES IT CAME DOWN TO A

QUARTER MILE OR SO DEPENDENT ON

WHAT YOU SAW AND WHAT PHIL.

MUCH OF NORTH TEXAS THAT HAD

PREPARED FOR WINTER WEATHER

WOKE UP WEDNESDAY TO FIND

NOTHING.

DRIVING UP HIGHWAY 287 PAST

ROME, PAST DECATUR, AND WELL

INTO WISE COUNTY, IT WAS NOT

UNTIL JUST SOUTH OF ALFRED THAT

A LOW SPOT SHOW THE FIRST SIGNS

OF FREEZING RAIN.

BUT THEN IT DISAPPEARED, UNTIL

A FEW MILES UP THE ROAD WHERE

THERE WAS SLEET AND THEN IN

BOWIE, THE SLEET WAS HEAVY

ENOUGH TO START A CUMULATIVE.

POLICE AND CITY OFFICIALS TOLD

US WITH AN EARLY BUILDUP AND

SCHOOLS CLOSED, MOST PEOPLE HAD

STAYED HOME LEADING TO A FEW

ISSUES ON THE ROADS.

FURTHER NORTH INTO CLAY COUNTY,

THE SLEET TURNED INTO WET SNOW

AND IT WAS THERE WHERE THE

VICKERS KIDS WERE DOING

SOMETHING THEY HAD NEVER DONE

BEFORE.

THEY HAVE BEEN READY TO COME

OUT.

READY TO COME OUT AND MAKE A

SNOWMAN.

Reporter: SHANNON TOLD US IT

WAS LESS SNOW THAN SHE WAS

EXPECTING BUT MORE THAN SHE HAD

SEEN HERE SINCE SHE WAS A KID.

WHENEVER I WAS A LOT

YOUNGER, THIS IS THE HOUSE I

GREW UP AND SO WHENEVER I WAS A

KID WE WOULD, AND THAT WAS THE

ONLY TIME IT WAS SNOWING DOWN

HERE.

Reporter: THE ROADS WERE NOT

SNOWPACKED ACROSS CLAY AND

ARCHER COUNTIES BUT THERE WERE

CLEAR TIRE TRACKS YOU NEEDED TO

STAY IN TO STAY ON THE ROAD.

MOST OF THE TOWNS WERE

NOTICEABLY QUIET WITH BUSINESS

AND CITY GOVERNMENTS CLOSED

UNTIL THE STORM MOVES THROUGH.

AND YOU MENTIONED MY KIDS, THAT

WAS ONE OF THE THINGS WE DID

NOT SEE A LOT OF OUT HERE

REALLY ANYWHERE TODAY WITH

KIDS.

BUT LOOK DOWN HERE, THIS IS THE

KIND OF SNOW, IT IS WET, THERE

WAS SLEET, ICE, FREEZING RAIN.

NOT THE KIND OF STUFF MAYBE YOU
