In this video, we are going to prepare a quick snack recipe

We are going to make kaara pori / spicy puffed rice

This is an easy snack recipe for kids as well as adults.

For preparing this snack, first we need patience

*** Don't switch on the flame***

Mix the ingredients thoroughly before turning off the flame

Coconut oil - 1 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp & chili powder - 1/2 tsp

Salt - 1/2 tsp

We didn't switch on the fire yet.

Mix the masalas with oil

You can add a pinch of asafoetida / hing ( optional )

Add three cups of puffed rice

Mix it with oil & spices

Turn on the flame & mix continuously

Once the rice puffs are crispy, add the curry leaves

The rice puffs should turn powdery when you crush them. That's the right consistency.

Check the salt & add if needed

Add roasted peanuts

You can even add pottu kadalai / roasted gram

Saute for a minute & turn off the flame.

Quick tea time snack is ready!
