- Look, no matter where you are now, it's fine.
It doesn't matter.
What's important is not who you are right now,
but who you are becoming.
Hello, I'm Julian Northbrook from DoingEnglish.com,
here with another quick two-minute English
learning tip for you.
Two minutes on the timer, hit it.
This morning I had a follow-up coaching call
with one of my accelerator coaching course clients
and she said to me what she learned throughout
the 90 days that we did the coaching course
was revolutionary to her.
And she said she's happy that she finally has clarity
around what she has to do
to continuously keep on growing as a
speaker of english as a second language.
However, she also said to me that
she feels rather frustrated because
she now sees that she has wasted a lot of time
over the last ten years doing the wrong things,
struggling, and just not really moving forward
with her english.
She said she was frustrated about that.
She felt frustrated about all the time lost.
And where she could be now if only
she had known what she knows now then.
Look, I get it, it's frustrating
and it is,
but the important thing is not who you are now
it's who you are becoming.
Ultimately the best time to have learned
how to improve yourself as a speaker of english
as a second language to have overcome your challenges,
overcome your problems, and got yourself to the point
where you can actually do the things you want
to do in english, the best time was 10 years ago.
The second best time is now.
We can't change the past and there's
no point in worrying about or focusing on the things
that we can't control or can't change.
All that matters is what you are doing from now.
You are where are you are and you can't change that fact.
Don't worry too much about all the time you may have wasted
or the opportunities that you have missed.
The fact that you weren't taught english properly
at school or the fact that you spent a long time
doing something that wasn't effective
and wasn't actually helping you.
All you need to worry about is
do you know what you need to know now?
If you do, brilliant.
You now have a bright future ahead of you
and you can just keep implementing that step by step.
Continuously, consistently, over time,
continuously growing in english,
improving yourself in all areas of your life.
Doing what you need to do.
If you don't have that clarity,
now is the time to get it.
Remember, it's who you are becoming
that is important, not who you currently are.
If you're not too sure what to do
and you want to get that clarity
the first port of cool, as it were,
is DoingEnglish.com/FreeTraining.
Where I will teach you the five key changes
that you need to make to the way that you
set out to improve yourself as a non native english speaker.
This is me, Julian Northbrook.
If you found this useful, give it a nice big old thumbs up.
If you didn't find it useful, give it thumbs up anyway.
And I will see you, my friend, in the next video.
Bye bye.
