We'd like to welcome you to Caalm Camp, our family-run rural retreat in the heart of the

scenic Dorset countryside. We have taken the very best things about camping in the South

West of England and added comfortable beds with fresh white linen sheets in our beautiful,

authentic hand-painted Yurts from Mongolia. We are open year round and our fully insulated

Yurts, individual wood/coal burning stoves and communal room ensures a warm, dry holiday

no matter what the weather outside!

We have six traditional Mongolian yurts available to rent, situated in a peaceful field on our

former Dairy Farm. Each yurt is brightly painted in the authentic Mongolian style. Inside they

are beautifully equipped and furnished and sleep up to six. (we also have Travel cots

available on request). Each yurt also has lighting and electricity for recharging your

gadgets, and induction hob for your morning coffee or tea . Towels and linens are included

in your freshly made up yurt when you arrive. For an extra level of comfort, we also have

a holiday cottage that sleeps four people. call us to check availability.

We pride ourselves on the fact that our facilities far exceed most other Glamping sites, with

each yurt, you will have your own secure luxury private shower room, and use of a fully equipped

kitchen complete with an individual fridge, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils for

each yurt, perfect for preparing a picnic or cooking a hearty farmhouse breakfast!

Our yurts even come with WiFi! We have pool and table tennis on site as well as board

games for the family. Whether you are booking a romantic break,

a family camping holiday or a friends reunion, Caalm Camp in Dorset is just the place!

Lie back and look up at the stars while you toast your toes in front of your woodburning

stove, or gather with friends or family to enjoy a barbecue in your own outdoor seating

area. We have a tranquil lake on the property which

is perfect for early morning meditation, picnics, or just watching the sun glimmer over its

surface as it sets! Children can scramble about on our wooden

play equipment and you can relax knowing the area is securely fenced in and safe.

Children can also get closer to the wildlife, whether it be our own kid friendly goats,

docile cows, cocky Rooster, hens or our visiting wild deer, rabbits and pheasants.

If you are in need of extra pampering, we can even provide you with your own relaxing

therapy treatment .

Our location is convenient to myriad attractions from nearby Shaftesbury for it wonderful shopping,

dining, open air markets and entertainment to the lovely Sturminster Newton with its

famous Old Mill Museum and Cycle Path. We have Todber Manor Fisheries directly next

door, with well stocked ponds for the avid angler, to the gourmet Udder Farm Shop which

stock all locally grown items; with everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to meats and

poultry to locally produced wines and ales; all to make your camping experience truly

first class. Close by, there are a selection of beautiful

pubs from The Mitre in Shaftesbury, The Kings Arms with its much talked about Sunday Roasts,

or the Salt Cellar restaurant overlooking the famous Gold Hill.

Whether you want a relaxing holiday lazing about or to use us as a base for exploring

Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, you'll find Caalm Camp offers the perfect way to unwind
