Practice English Speaking&Listening with: The Challenge (Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn)

We are usually not good at that, but if you are here, then yes

This time we were invited by Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

We have a very important mission. You tell it.

We are gonna do The Challenge. Jure will show everything on the map.

At first Simona was like: Yeah, let's go. But then I told her a bit about it and she started doubting.

We hope we will make it. Or at least that Jure will make it. Let's see what is all about.

In The Challenge you visit all 4 villages of the ski resort.

We are gonna start in Saalbach, then down all the way to Leogang.

Then we have to go back to Saalbach. To the top, so that we can start going to Fieberbrunn.

Then back again. We need to come here and to Hinterglemm.

To the top, down and to the top again.

At the end we have a chairlift that closes at 16:15. That is our goal.

And then we just have to ski down.

32 lifts, 65 km of skiing, 12400 vertical metres.

Our personal best is around 11000 metres. We are gonna have to put some effort into it.

Apparently there is no time for breaks. So let's see how it goes.

It's not looking great.

I think we flew the drone for too long and we played with the dog too much.

No time for lunch.

We are on our way to Leogang. One of the four villages of Skicircus Saalbach Leogang Fieberbrunn.

Let's check it out.

Another big advantage of the Skicircus. If The Dutch keep quiet. :) The lifts.

We are on a new 8-chairlift, even though a completely fine 6-chairlift still operated last year.

But the lifts here are really modern, with seat heating, which you really like.

Fast, efficient.

We completed the Leogang part at 10:30.

I am afraid it is gonna be tight. But we are eternal optimists and we are gonna keep going full speed.

Behind us is the central village of the resort, Saalbach.

We are going to keep going. ;)

When you go towards Bernkogel, you have to walk for around 100 metres. You get here in two minutes.

And then just up.

And now Fieberbrunn.

The slopes are still OK, despite the warm weather. It has gotten a bit crowded.

We are now on the Fieberbrunn side and the slopes are facing away from the sun.

The fact that the resort has so many slopes is working against us today.

They are also really long. So you can really enjoy them.

We are at the top of Fieberbrunn. We stayed here when we first came to the Skicircus a few years ago.

We really liked it and that is why we keep coming back.

Let's see if it is still that nice.

This is the only t-bar lift you have to take for The Challenge.

There are maybe three left in the resort. The others are chairlifts and cable cars.

So we had to film here, because it is so romantic.

Fieberbrunn is known for its freeride terrain. They also got me hooked last year.

Now in March, in the afternoon because the slopes are facing away from the sun, they are excellent.

In the morning we recommend Saalbach, because it is sunny and bright especially at the beginning of season.

Last stage.

Now we have to go to Hinterglemm. We have exactely 7 lifts left.

Tirol S. Cable car that connects Fieberbrunn and Saalbach. Why Tirol S?

Because it connects two states. Tyrol and Salzburg. I think it was opened about 5 years ago.

It is showing that both regions gained a lot with this connection.

It is almost time for food and drinks.

Today we learnt that men function better when hungry.

Almost There. :) Low battery.

I am not even hungry. I am hangry.

I hope you see how much snow there is.
