STEPHANIE SHIELDS SPOKE WITH

POLICE... AND PARENTS:

Stephanie: POLICE SAY THEY

INVESTIGATED THIS MIDDLE

SCHOOL AFTER A STUDENT

REPRTEDLY STOLE HER

GRANDMOTHER'S MEDICAL CANNABIS

AND DISTRIBUTED IT TO OTER

STUDENTS ON CAMPUS. I SPOKE

WITH PARENTS PICKING UP THEIR

CHILDREN WHO TOLD ME THEIR

CONCERNS AFTER LEARNING ABOUT

THE INCIDENT. "it's kind of

sad you know its a middle

school, its a middle school

they're starting too young."

"I thought it was pretty crazy

cause this is a pretty good

FACING CRIMINAL CHARGES AFTER

THEM. Dan Trujillo: "She had

taken the marijuana from her

grandmother's went to school

and she was distributing

amongst friends at school so

that girl who stole the

marijuana and distributed was

charged with a fourth degree

felony." THE OTHER STUDENTS

ARE FACING MISDEAMEANOR

POSSESSION CHARGES. POLICE SAY

THEY BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED

OVER SEVERAL DAYS. Dan

Trujillo: "so the day before

thursday we actually located

one student who had a small

amount of marijuana on him and

he was charged but when the

incident happened on friday we

realized it was all from the

same batch." Stephanie: SOME

PARENTS TELL KTSM THEY SPOKE

WITH THEIR OWN CHILDREN AFTER

HEARING WHAT HAPPENED. "i do

tell my daughter if anyone was

to walk up to you and offer

you something, just walk
