A map is a mirror of the world we live in. We use maps every day to figure out where
to go and how to get there.
As the world evolves and changes, so should the map. You can help ensure that the maps
millions of people around the world see and use accurately reflect updates in the places
you care about.
You know your community better than anyone else. So whether you want to add a place,
include details to make your neighborhood more comprehensive, make corrections based
on recent changes, or map an entire city, you can make these contributions through
Google Map Maker.
Working alongside other volunteer Map Makers, you might add roads and highways, list them
as one or two-way thoroughfares, and create building outlines for universities and downtown
areas. You can also mark your favorite park with details like lakes and sports fields,
show hiking trails and bike paths, and even add your favorite restaurants.
Your contributions once reviewed will appear on Google Maps and Google Earth for everyone
to see.
Together we can map the world.
