This battle starts right now.
You've been singin' that same old song
Far too long
Far too long
Say you'll buy me a shiny ring
But your words don't mean a thing
And no more calling me "baby"
No more lovin' like crazy
Till you take me down Together: Take me down
Till you take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down Take me down
You better take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down
Hey!
And you can't ride this gravy train
Anymore anyway
Whoo!
There's a price for keeping me
I might be cheap, but I ain't free
No more calling me "baby"
No more lovin' like crazy
Till you take me down Take me down
You better take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down Take me down
Take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me dooooooown
[ Cheers and applause ]
Charming devil, silver tongue
You've had your fun, now you're done
Mama warned me 'bout your game
She don't like you anyway
No more calling me "baby"
No more lovin' like crazy
No more chicken and gravy
Ain't gonna have your babyyyyy
Till you take me down Take me down
You better take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white church
Take me down Take me down
I said take me down Take me down
Take me down to the little white
Chuuuuuuurch
[ Cheers and applause ]
John: Wow! That was so cool.
Wow!
That was fun to watch.
It's just such an interesting way to watch a performance,
going back and forth. [ Laughing ] I know!
It was like a tennis match.
Like, "Oh, where'd that note come from?"
And then you're, like, looking over here, looking over there.
I think that my whiplash is gonna be okay.
But, Taryn, one thing that was really fun to watch
was your personality was coming out, you know?
And then all of a sudden, you're hitting the notes,
and you're like, "Wow, she's really the real deal."
Thank you. And then whipped over here.
[ Laughter ]
And the fact that you're related and you're the mom and --
The whole story really gets to you, you know?
I'm rooting for you guys because I would be so curious
to see what would happen next.
I would probably pick Worth the Wait.
-Thank you. -Thank you. -Thank you.
Taryn, you were just fantastic.
I know it's hard going against a trio.
Hey! We love you. She handled it great.
But you really did hold your own, and then
some of those high notes you were hitting at the end,
those are the things that kept bringing my neck back over here.
Like...[ Laughs ] Thank you.
Worth the Wait, I grew up in a family
that loved to sing together, too.
It's heartwarming to see it.
And you sound great together. Thank you.
It's a tough decision. Mm.
I'm going to say something controversial.
I'm going to pick Taryn.
[ Cheers and applause ] Ooh!
Controversy!
Controversy
Taryn, you have an incredible range.
Thank you. I really love your tone, the raspy --
It's like -- it's very cool and sexy, mysterious.
What's interesting about Worth the Wait is,
this won't be the dumbest thing I've ever said, 'cause I know
he's gonna make fun of me. I'm already getting ready.
But you actually sound like one human.
It's, like, really crazy good family harmony.
Thank you. Thank you.
Mia, for some reason, something's holding you back.
Know that you're awesome.
There's a reason why they probably were like,
"You sing lead."
If I had to choose, the only reason
why I'm leaning towards Worth the Wait is
I felt like they took advantage of every single moment.
It was very close for me.
Daly: Thank you, Kelly. Thank you, coaches.
Blake, you've got the final decision, buddy.
Give us some thoughts first. Everybody's right.
It's like, "Well, God, how do we even talk about this?"
But I didn't make the rules.
He doesn't usually follow them, either.
Yeah, I usually just -- I usually just cheat.
He told me he was king of "The Voice,"
so I assumed he made all the rules.
No, I just -- I bend them. Oh.
You both remind me of two different artists
that I worked with earlier.
For you, Taryn, it was Cassadee Pope.
She was completely comfortable being on stage.
And there you are on Broadway,
and you're totally comfortable up there.
And then, with Worth the Wait,
Mia reminds me a lot of Danielle Bradbery.
Danielle was literally like, "Oh, what?
Oh, what is it? A microphone?
What do I do? I sing into it?"
So talented and not so much stage experience.
You know, people saw the growth in Danielle Bradbery,
and it just makes it that much more of a tough decision.
Buddy, the time has come.
Blake, who's the winner of this battle?
The winner of this battle...
...is Worth the Wait.
Daly: Worth the Wait moves on to the knockouts!
Blake: I ended choosing Worth the Wait
because they're all three great singers.
That family harmony, you can't make that up.
You're just born with it.
You need to own that little lion inside you, okay?
I will. Alright, alright.
I know their dad's watching from Heaven,
and it also makes me proud, too.
Gonna make me cry. Don't do this.
He's a rocker, so I'm sure he was going, "Yeah!"
[ Laughter ]
Daly: Coaches, let me remind you that Taryn is available
to steal or save.
Taryn, anything that you'd like to say to your coach?
Thank you so much for coaching me,
and I'm just really thankful for the opportunity
and that you believed in me. Great job.
Give it up for Taryn Papa, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you. Excellent job, Taryn.
Thank you, Taryn.
Whoa!
We've got a save!
[ Squeals ] Blake Shelton...
I'm not letting you leave. ...saves Taryn Papa!
Blake: It's not easy to decide which artist
you want to use your save on, because at this point,
we're attached to all of our team members.
Don't do that to me!
But at least we have that one card to play.
Good job, Blakey!
John: Yeah, Blake!
What the heck? I feel relief, too, 'cause I was,
the whole time, going, "Please, John. Please, John.
Don't press your steal button. John, don't."
Welcome back home.
Yay! Thank you.
I saved Taryn because I feel like
that's a tough position for anybody to be in,
going up against a trio, and I feel like she stood
toe-to-toe with them, and I have tons of confidence
in Taryn going into that four-way knockout.
