Well, well, well.
I have been waiting for this day for quite some time.
Christmas is in the air. It's cold out.
Everyone is festive and cheerful, and it's the happiest time of the year, isn't it?
I wanted to welcome you all to this little...
"gift" that I've been working on for the past two months. ;)
Welcome to The Nightmarathon Before Christmas.
This special event will last from today to Friday, and each night will feature a creepy, obscure, or disturbing topic.
I've been so pumped for this for so long, and I'm ready to dive into this with all of you.
Now, without further ado,
grab a hot cocoa, pull up a chair, and let's have some fun this week.
What better way to kick off this marathon, than with an old and disturbing video that's gained some mainstream attention lately?
The video in question is one that's simply titled, "My Sister".
My Sister was a video that was uploaded back in May of 2011 to a channel called "RaiderDawg".
The video opens with what appears to be a girl trying on various outfits for the camera, however,
something about this video seems...
The girl's face, while convincing, seems...
Take a look:
So, what exactly are we seeing here? The girl's face in the first shot is clearly a mask,
but what about the scene where she's eating, and more notably at the end when she stretches her face, before the video cuts to a
segment where we see a ghost with the letters "GG"?
Initially, I was a complete skeptic at the idea that this channel created this video, since all of RaiderDawg's other videos appeared to either
be gaming or simple troll uploads.
Honestly, his content didn't come with much substance.
I performed search upon search looking for answers on where exactly this video came from, to no avail.
I scoured reddit, 4chan, YouTube, and even the video's comment section to find absolutely nothing worth noting.
Where in the actual hell did this video come from, and who made it?
On the brink of giving up,
I did a quick archive search on WayBackMachine to find a snapshot of his channel from 2014.
This was, if you don't know, before YouTube pushed the full-name system for channels.
I saw that their channel name, up until it changed, was DeeznutsFYC.
Now, I know, I know, I know. I'll just refer to him as "FYC", from now on.
Anyway, I felt that I had somewhat of a lead, but...
could it go anywhere?
Scouring the internet with FYC's old channel name led me to this site called "LurkerFAQs".
If you don't know what this is, it's essentially a continuous archive of the popular GameFAQs message boards.
It makes sense that I'd find him here, given the fact that most of his YouTube videos were simply Call of Duty gameplay.
Anyway, on LurkerFAQs, I found quite the heap of posts that he made on GameFAQs boards, and many of those
posts were of this video.
He posted it the first time, to which users were shocked and terrified of what the hell they were seeing.
One quick side note that I want to make here real fast is that if you haven't noticed by the channel name,
FYC is sort of a troll. To be completely honest, he's a smartass, and throughout his comments, it definitely shows.
Anyway, users were appalled by this video and kept asking him various questions about it, to which he replied, in a smartass fashion.
He gave absolutely no background, no backstory, no answers, nothing.
I became increasingly frustrated, since I simply could not, for the life of me, find the origins of this video.
That was, until I saw his behavior on these posts and some of the other notable videos that he had created.
Constantly, on the GameFAQs posts about his "sister", he would say, "bump".
Now, if you somehow don't know what this means, allow me to explain super quickly.
Message boards are typically sorted from newest content to oldest, and more often than not, if a new comment occurs on an old thread,
it'll essentially "bump" it to the top of the board, causing it to be in the spotlight, once again.
Anyway, throughout his 3 posts of the same video, over the course of a year, from June 2011 to July
2012, it seems that he "bumped" them quite a bit.
Honestly, if I stumbled upon a creepy video online, ripped it off, and uploaded it to my channel,
I absolutely wouldn't give the effort, over the course of a year, to push this video out to people as heavily as he did.
Something is beginning to tell me that maybe,
he created this thing as a joke, and to mess with people.
But, wait a minute. Isn't he a gamer?
Why would he do this?
Well, I noticed one other video that he pushed on GameFAQs quite a bit, that originated from his channel.
This one is titled, "This is only a test". Take a look at it real fast:
(believe me, you don't want to hear the audio for this)
Man's Voice: "This is only a test."
Now, why is THIS one significant?
It seems as if this video was created by him, since this one appears to be a mashup of strange and distorted clips, to strike a
sense of fear at people.
Also, jumping over to his present-day channel, we can see that his channel trailer,
that was uploaded a couple of years after these, shows us that this guy clearly has an interest in creepypastas and online horror creation.
The quality is less than stellar, but he shows interest in doing this.
why on a gaming channel?
I'm honestly led to believe that this guy made the My Sister video with some creepy masks.
He did a damn good job at this, and since it didn't get the recognition that he wanted back then,
he resorted to GameFAQs to freak people out, since it would clearly be out of place on a video game forum.
I believe that he wanted people to become intrigued, have a desire for more, and as a result, check out his channel.
Now, what would gamers do upon arriving at his channel?
They'd noticed that he...
he has gaming videos.
It's a genre that people from a gaming forum would take interest in, so they'd possibly drop a subscription.
These out of place, creepy videos were likely created by him, and are there to drive up curiosity about his channel.
His other horror videos seem like they were uninspired, and it doesn't seem like his channel ever really took off.
10 months ago was his last upload, and since then, there really hasn't been much word from RaiderDawg at all.
Nonetheless, I want to throw out a disclaimer that this is my personal theory regarding this situation.
I 100% recommend that you go over to his channel,
fish through his content, and see if there's anything that you can dig up about this mystery.
I was unable to find any solid and definitive evidence regarding the origins of this video,
and this is all entirely theory, based upon his behavior back then.
I am genuinely curious to see what you all may find.
Anyway, this was my analysis on the My Sister video.
I hope you all enjoyed this. Also, get hyped, because we're on a five-day marathon that isn't stopping until Friday.
I am so hyped to present the other topics to you this week, and I cannot wait to see what you all think of them.
Lastly, thanks once again for watching. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you all, and as always...
