Due to the ongoing worldwide lockdown, the number of domestic violence cases is increasing

In J&K too, the number of cases in a week has reached 260

Zaitoon Bi, of Chunga village, was beaten to death by her husband in Poonch

He was abusing her regularly in the past, we would then settle the issue and allow her to go back

This time, she was ruthlessly beaten, I saw some injuries on her body also

She was then taken to Jammu hospital for treatment and admitted

I was not been allowed to accompany my daughter by her husband at the hospital

I saw that they (her husband and his sister) gave her some injections

I checked her face and saw some tears flowing down

she passed away after an hour

After speaking to the local Station House Officer (SHO) of the Police department,

he said that the husband was under arrest.

There were injury marks on her body

She had an injury on her face as well, which had turned black

Then I saw that her arm was broken

After enquiring form her husband, he said that while working on the farm she broke it

She has one daughter and three sons

Their father had been beating them as well

and were not safe at his house
