1, The full form of PDO is PHP Data Objects. It’s used on Computing ,Databases in Worldwide
PHP Data Objects, also known as PDO, is an interface for accessing databases in PHP without tying code to a specific database. Rather than directly calling mysql_, mysqli_, and pg_ functions, developers can use the PDO interface, simplifying the porting of applications to other databases.
The PHP Data Objects extension is currently included by default with installations of PHP 5.1. It is available for users of PHP 5.0 through PECL, but does not ship with the base package.
PHP Data Objects has a number of significant differences to the MySQL interface used by most PHP applications on PHP 4.x and below:
Example:
$dsn = 'mysql:dbname=database_name;host=localhost'; $dbuser = 'database_user'; $dbuserpw = 'database_user_password'; try { $connection = new PDO($dsn, $dbuser, $dbuserpw); } catch (PDOException $e) { echo 'There was a problem connecting to the database: ' . $e->getMessage(); } $query = $connection->query("SELECT * FROM table"); // querying the database

3, The full form of PDO is Protected Designation of Origin. It’s used on Governmental ,Rules & Regulations in European Union
Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) is a European Union product certification system based on the French AOC system. Like the AOC system, it also holds to the French idea of “terroir”, that where something was made or grown affects the end product. Manufacturers have to first get approval by a national certification commission, then go to the EU level and apply for PDO. The PDO certification is regulated both by national commissions and by associations for that product.
PGI is a very close designation, but it used for products that aren’t quite as tied to the local region.
PDO status is indicated by a red logo (changed from blue in May 2010.)
4, The full form of PDO is Pacific Decadal Oscillation. It’s used on Academic & Science ,Ocean Science in Worldwide
The Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) is a robust, recurring pattern of ocean-atmosphere climate variability centered over the mid-latitude Pacific basin. The PDO is detected as warm or cool surface waters in the Pacific Ocean, north of 20°N. Over the past century, the amplitude of this climate pattern has varied irregularly at interannual-to-interdecadal time scales (meaning time periods of a few years to as much as time periods of multiple decades). There is evidence of reversals in the prevailing polarity (meaning changes in cool surface waters versus warm surface waters within the region) of the oscillation occurring around 1925, 1947, and 1977; the last two reversals corresponded with dramatic shifts in salmon production regimes in the North Pacific Ocean. This climate pattern also affects coastal sea and continental surface air temperatures from Alaska to California.
