The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is an American non profit organization, 501(c)(3), located in Washington, DC. Established in 1981

The Biomedical Research Foundation (BRF) was founded in 1989. The Foundation has spent the years since its incorporation partnering with VA Researchers within the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital (CAVHS). The Foundation and its CAVHS researchers played critical roles in the development of new standard of care treatments, including statins and erythropoietin. The BRF/CAVHS continue to address issues significant to our veteran population, including PTSD, vascular surgery and cardiology. The Biomedical Research Foundation is always interested in expanding our research portfolio that will both utilize our unique patient population and bring the most advanced treatments to our veterans, those who protect us all.
