The full form of RTMPT is “tunneled” version of RTMP
The Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) is a streaming protocol designed by Adobe for high-performance transmission of audio, video, and data.
RTMPT is a “tunneled” version of RTMP designed to get around strict corporate firewalls by sending stream packets through the standard web port (port 80) wrapped in http packets. RTMPT performance is not as great as RTMP so it used only when RTMP is not possible. Our video player seamlessly switches to RTMPT automatically should the viewer be behind a strict firewall blocking standard RTMP.
RTMPE (E stands for encrypted) is essentially the same as RTMP except that it adds a layer of security by encrypting stream packets before transmission.
RTMPTE is the “tunneled” version of RTMPE designed to get around strict corporate firewalls.
