K-State administers the ACT assessment at least six times a year. Students and parents can learn more about the ACT test, find study resources, and get test registration information by visiting the ACT website.
Registration for the ACT is done online at www.act.org. If Internet access is not available, students may obtain ACT registration packets at their current high school or by contacting ACT headquarters by phone at (319) 337.1270.
Kansas State Office of Admission offers ACT Workshops at the Manhattan, Olathe and Salina campuses during the year. You can learn more about these ACT Workshops by visiting the K-State’s Admissions website.
K-State offers an on-campus or residual test for enrolled, admitted, or applying students. The results of the residual test can only be used locally at K-State’s Manhattan and Salina campuses. K-State allows residual ACT testing for students who need an ACT score for admission or if the student needs to improve their ACT score in order to meet the minimum admission requirement. If a student has met the minimum requirement, they will be allowed to take one residual test for scholarship purposes.
Residual tests are administered by appointment during months when a national test is not being offered by ACT or if the K-State Test Center is not participating in testing on one of ACT’s national test dates. Scheduled test dates can be found on the home screen of this site. You can learn more about residual testing by reviewing this ACT Residual Testing brochure. To register, complete and submit the Testing Services Request Form to the testing office. Residual ACT test cannot be administered on a scheduled national test day.
Prospective students interested in taking the residual ACT test should contact the testing office for more information by calling 785-532-2957 or by e-mailing [email protected].
