Noida (New Okhla Industrial Development Area) Noida is a city situated in Uttar Pradesh. Noida which is the abbreviated form of New Okhla Industrial Development Area, is a region that falls under the purview of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority. It shares its borders with the Yamuna River on the west, Delhi on the north and the Hindon River on the south-east.
Noida was established on 17 April 1976. Every year 17 April is celebrated as “Noida Day” in the city.
Noida was set up by Abhishek Sinha during the Emergency period 1975-1977.
Noida is situated in the Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. It is located at about a distance of 20 km from New Delhi.
