The full form of CPHI is Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

Otsuka Chemical participated in the CPhl Worldwide 2013 Convention held in Frankfurt,Germany from October 22, 2013 for 3 days.
This is a worldwide convention for pharmaceutical materials and pharmaceutical intermediates.CPHI (Convention of Pharmaceutical Ingredients) is an exhibition of pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates that is held around the world from Japan, China, India, to Russia and South America.

Of these CPHI conventions, the `CPhl Worldwide` is held every year in Europe. Over 2200 businesses and groups participated and over 30,000 people visited making this the biggest place in the world to share information and or have business discussions. Also, there was a lecture exhibition about the developing direction of pharmaceuticals and about legal changes in each country. On top of that, there were over 100 presentations about new medicine and new technology. Many pharmaceutical related companies met all together in one place.

Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. has not only made exhibits alone. Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. also had a display with Interpharma Praha,a.s. in 2009. In 2013, it had been two years since we had last participated as an exhibiting company, and we held a booth with American Peptide Company, Inc. (APC).

From Otsuka Chemical, presenters were 2 people from the Chemical Science Division, and 1 person from the Technology Development Department for a total of 3 people at the booth. We introduced aromatic compounds that are used in various drug raw materials such as β-Lactam Compound Technology, intermediates for cephalosphorin antibiotics, hypotensive drug, and antihistamines.
