The Foundation for Blood Research (FBR) is a non-profit medical research and education institute employing biostatistical, laboratory, public health, and education experts. Established in 1977, the foundation is committed to determining more effective ways to identify, manage, and prevent human disease through clinical and laboratory investigation, the study of disease incidence and prevalence (epidemiology), scientific educational outreach programs, computer-based analyses, public health program design, and clinical testing. Its mission is to develop and improve laboratory tests as a way to help physicians identify, treat, and, when possible, prevent illness.
The Division of Genetics at the Foundation for Blood Research (FBR) focuses on the integration of genetics into public health and private healthcare systems in Maine. It addresses this pressing need though several activities. Immediately available to primary and allied healthcare personnel are CME/CEU lectures and presentations offered either in person or via interactive TV (telemedicine), as well as publications (see listing at https://www.fbr.org/clin/mgl.html).
2, The full form of FBR is Federal Board of Revenue. It’s used on Governmental ,Departments & Agencies in Pakistan
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) (Urdu: وفاقی ہیئت برائے محصولات), formerly known as Central Board of Revenue (CBR), is a federal law enforcement agency of Pakistan that investigates tax crimes, suspicious accumulation of wealth and money-laundering. FBR operates through tax inspectors that keep tax evaders under surveillance and perform special tasks for FBR Headquarters. FBR performs role of collection of taxation in the country from all individuals and businesses.
FBR also collects intelligence on tax evasion and administers tax laws for the Government of Pakistan and acts as the central revenue collection agency of Pakistan
The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) was created on April 01, 1924 through enactment of the Central Board of Revenue Act, 1924. In 1944, a full-fledged Revenue Division was created under the Ministry of Finance. After independence, this arrangement continued up to 31st August 1960 when on the recommendations of the Administrative Re-organization Committee, FBR was made an attached department of the Ministry of Finance. In 1974, further changes were made to streamline the organization and its functions. Consequently, the post of Chairman FBR was created with the status of ex-officio Additional Secretary and Secretary Finance was relieved of his duties as ex-officio Chairman of the FBR.
In order to remove impediments in the exercise of administrative powers of a Secretary to the Government and effective formulation and implementation of fiscal policy measures, the status of FBR as a Revenue Division was restored under the Ministry of Finance on October 22, 1991. However, the Revenue Division was abolished in January 1995, and FBR reverted back to the pre-1991 position. The Revenue Division continues to exist since from December 01, 1998.
3, The full form of FBR is Foundation for Biomedical Research. It’s used on Associations & Organizations ,Regional Organizations in United States
The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is an American non profit organization, 501(c), located in Washington, DC. Established in 1981, the organization is dedicated to informing the news media, teachers, and other groups about the need for lab animals in medical and scientific research.
The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is America’s most experienced, trusted and effective non-profit dedicated to improving human and animal health by promoting public understanding and support for biomedical research.
The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is America’s most experienced, trusted and effective nonprofit dedicated to improving human and animal health by promoting public understanding and support for biomedical research.
We believe that by illuminating the essential role animal research plays in changing health outcomes and defeating illnesses, we can help make lives even better.
Together with the National Association for Biomedical Research, we seek to create the resources to benefit the public, the government, and research professionals alike. Our mission includes:
4, The full form of FBR is Foreign Body Removal. It’s used on Medical ,Laboratory in Worldwide
Foreign Body Removal refers to the retrieval of foreign objects that have been introduced into the body, sometimes by accident.
Foreign body removal is performed when a foreign object, or objects, are removed from the human body. The most common removals performed are to retrieve objects from the ear, however they can also be from other areas of the body such as the nose or eye. Children account for eighty percent (80%) of foreign body removal cases, but it’s not uncommon for adults to need foreign body removal treatment, as well.
Foreign substances can be introduced into various parts of the body including ear, eye, nose, finger, leg, foot, stomach, skin, breathing tract (airway) and more. The technique used to remove the substance depends on what the substance is, and where it is located in the body.
Foreign bodies may be present if something has been ingested or inserted by the patient or by someone else. They can occur due to an accident.
In some cases, ingested objects can pass through the digestive tract naturally and without complications, but some patients may need assistance to remove the foreign body. Foreign bodies may also need to be removed by an emergency room physician if they are causing pain, or are in the eye or skin.
5, The full form of FBR is Fluidized Bed Reactor. It’s used on Academic & Science ,Chemistry in Worldwide
A fluidized bed reactor (FBR) is a type of reactor device that can be used to carry out a variety of multiphase chemical reactions. In this type of reactor, a fluid (gas or liquid) is passed through a solid granular material (usually a catalyst) at high enough speeds to suspend the solid and cause it to behave as though it were a fluid. This process, known as fluidization, imparts many important advantages to an FBR. As a result, FBRs are used for many industrial applications.
A fluidized-bed reactor (FBR) is a combination of the two most common configurations, stirred tank and packed bed continuous flow reactors. It has excellent heat- and mass-transfer characteristics. In FBR, cells are attached to solids in the form of biofilm or granules. Due to the dragging force of the upward wastewater flow, they can be maintained in suspension. This increases their catalytic activity and they are known to cause higher degradation rates of organic wastes. Zhang et al. [205] have reported the maximum hydrogen production rate and yield of 7.6 L/L.h and 0.4–1.7 mol per mole of glucose, respectively, in an anaerobic fluidized bed biofilm reactor using glucose as a substrate. FBR can work at both higher hydraulic loading rates and at low HRTs [214]. Anaerobic FBR is considered a more efficient reactor because it has less chance of particle washout when compared with UASB reactor. Nowadays, FBR has received more attention in case of wastewater treatment and hydrogen production. The main disadvantage of the anaerobic FBR is that it requires more energy in order to achieve fluidization in the bioreactor
