The full form of KVIC is Khadi and Village Industries Commission.
Khadi & Village Industries Commission is a statutory body created by KVIC Act 1956 (No. 61 of 1956) amended by Act No. 12 of 1987 and Act No. 10 of 2006. KVIC was established in April 1957 by taking over the work of former All India Khadi & Village Industries Board. It functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India.
