Symptoms may include nightmares or unwanted memories of the trauma, avoidance of situations that bring back memories of the trauma, heightened reactions, anxiety, or depressed mood.

The PDST is the country’s largest single support service offering professional learning opportunities to teachers and school leaders in a range of pedagogical, curricular and educational areas.
The PDST was established in September 2010 as a generic, integrated and cross-sectoral support service for schools. The establishment of the organisation was synonymous with the amalgamation and restructuring of a number of stand-alone services which now operate under the PDST providing their services to schools in the context of PDST’s overall vision and mission.
Our mission is to support teachers as reflective practitioners by providing a range of professional development opportunities and supports that enable teacher learning, collaboration and evidence-based practice with an emphasis on:
- curriculum and pedagogy
- learning and teaching methodologies
- school improvement and school self-evaluation
- school leadership, culture and leading learning
- pupil/student and teacher welfare

Dragons: The dragon is a symbol of luck, virtue, peace, and longevity. Dragons are confident, idealistic, passionate, brave, and generous. A dragon will do everything to make his or her dreams come true.
Vision: To create a positive, challenging, safe, healthy, and nurturing environment in supporting as well as safegaurding our swimmers to achieve the excellence in competitive swimming and translate the learning experience in swimming into real life. The experience at PDST will build a lifetime-enduring ethic for our swimmers and enable them to succeed in their future endeavors.
Mission: PDST (Pacific Dragons Swim Team) is a competitive swim team seeking to enable all of its swimmers to reach their highest potential as an athlete and as a person through excellence in its coaching, training, and caring in a safe, positive, and healthy environment.
Culture: We seek to create a respectful, cohesive, and vibrant culture for all of our athletes and athlete’s families. Win or lose, a high respect and caring are fostered for our teammates, for our competitors, and for ourselves.
