Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) or PIN Unlock Key, is a master security code for unblocking or resetting the Personal Identification Number (PIN) of a SIM card. PUK is a security feature on most mobile devices that protects your SIM card data. If you enter the incorrect PIN for your SIM card three times, your SIM may automatically lock. You will then need to unlock the SIM card with your specific PUK number. If you enter the incorrect PUK number 10 times, your SIM card will permanently lock and you will need to buy a new one.
