What does DoH mean? What is the full form of DoH?

1, The full form of DOH is DNS over HTTPS

DNS over HTTPS (DoH) is a protocol for performing remote Domain Name System (DNS) resolution via the HTTPS protocol. A goal of the method is to increase user privacy and security by preventing eavesdropping and manipulation of DNS data by man-in-the-middle attacks[1] by using the HTTPS protocol to encrypt the data between the DoH client and the DoH-based DNS resolver. By March of 2018, Google and the Mozilla Foundation had started testing versions of DNS over HTTPS. In February 2020, Mozilla launched a version of Firefox that encrypts domain names by default for US-based users.

In addition to improving security, another goal of DNS over HTTPS is to improve performance: testing of ISP DNS resolvers has shown that many often have slow response times, a problem that is exacerbated by the need to potentially have to resolve many hostnames when loading a single web page.

2, The full form of DOH is done something foolish

“Doh” is now defined as “Expressing frustration at the realization that things have turned out badly or not as planned, or that one has just said or done something foolish,” according to the new entry in the dictionary.

The Simpsons only popularized the term; it was actually used extensively in the 1950s, the OED found. Although it is often spelled “D’oh,” the dictionary chose to omit the apostrophe.

Other newcomers to the dictionary include the Full Monty; cheesy, which means second-rate or inferior; six-pack, meaning rippling abdominal muscles, and Bollywood, which refers to the Hindi film industry based in Bombay, India.

“We’ll have terms from immuno-biology to gangster rap,” says Jesse Sheidlower, who is head of the project for North America.

The origins of other terms remain a mystery. Did the expression, the Full Monty, start with World War II British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, who loved a large breakfast? Or an expanded version of a Spanish card game?

“No one knows where it comes from,” admits Sheidlower.

The dictionary, which is available online only by subscription, will continue to release new words and revised definitions every quarter.

3, The full form of DOH is Days of Inventory on Hand

Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH) is a metric used to determine how quickly a company utilizes the average inventory available at its disposal. It is also known as days inventory outstanding (DIO) and is interpreted in a number of ways. Since it’s used to determine the number of days that the inventory remains in stock, the DOH value represents the inventory liquidity.

If a business is performing well, then it should report a low DOH, which indicates that it takes a short period to clear inventory.

The DOH is a very important measure for financial analysts and potential investors because it shows how capable a company is of managing its inventory efficiently.
