The cooperative is headquartered in Anand in the state of Gujarat, India. The range of products produced by the cooperative includes milk, butter, cheese, ice creams, health drinks, and other dairy products. The word “Amul” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Amulya” which means precious or priceless.
