The Company acquires Non Performing Assets (NPAs) from the Banks / Financial Institutions at mutually agreed prices with the objective is to maximise the returns through innovative resolutions strategies.
ASREC positions itself as the multi lender ARC in the public sector aiming to earn the confidence of the financial system in the effective resolution of NPAs by operating in transparent manner with flexibility of the private sector.
A Non-government, a Non-profit organization, Indian ARC Association (“IAA”) is voice of all Asset Reconstruction Companies, currently there are 27 ARCs registered with Reserve Bank of India. Association is active for more than 8 years. Association interacts with various Ministries, regulatory and government bodies in- order for smooth functioning of business; it also acts as forum for discussion which provides platform for exchange of ideas. We work towards creating a regulatory environment which is favourable for our members. Association articulates views and concerns of its stakeholders. We our closely associated with other industry Associations such as ASSOCHAM, Indian Bank Association (IBA) etc with the objective of presenting an industry consensus view to the Government on crucial issues affecting the members ARCs. We work towards influencing policies and play a crucial role in addressing various legal issues faced by our Membersbefore an appropriate forum. The Association is governed by its own rules and procedures. Over the years Association has played a proactive role in raising concerns of its stakeholders.
To continuously pursue the common interest of the Asset Reconstruction Companies for effective management of their business thereby reforming the business of securitisation and asset reconstruction, thus creating value for the stakeholders.
