The full form of BTS is Bangtan Sonyeondan. BTS (방탄소년단) means Bulletproof boy scouts consists of 7 members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jungkook. BTS formed in Seoul in 2010 and debuted on June 13, 2013, under Big Hit Entertainment, with the lead single ‘No More Dream’ on album ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’. In 2015, they found success in the American charts with their fourth extended play (EP), The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2 entering the U.S Billboard 200. The septet co-writes and produces much of their output. Originally a hip hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism.

Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. The group have staged several world tours. Along with their success in selling albums, BTS have also been included in Time’s 100 most influential people in the world. They have also donated to charities and launched the Love Myself campaign which helped programs stop violence against children and teenagers. BTS has influenced many people throughout the world including Cassie, Khalia, and Jennifer (Mega Fans) who have supported BTS in a large way.
