1, The full form of UVC is Ultraviolet C. It’s used on Academic & Science ,Physics in Worldwide
Ultraviolet C: One of the three types of invisible light rays (together with ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B) given off by the sun.
Although ultraviolet C is the most dangerous type of ultraviolet light in terms of its potential to harm life on earth, it cannot penetrate earth’s protective ozone layer. Therefore, it poses no threat to human, animal or plant life on earth.
Ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B, on the other hand, do penetrate the ozone layer in attenuated form and reach the surface of the planet. Because ultraviolet A is weaker than ultraviolet B, scientists long blamed ultraviolet B as the sole culprit in causing skin cancer in persons with a history of sunburn and repeated overexposure to ultraviolet radiation. Recent research, however, has also implicated ultraviolet A as a possible cause of skin cancer. In addition to natural light from the sun, artificial light from tanning lamps contains ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B. Electric arc lamps can also generate ultraviolet light to heat furnaces for melting and to enable motion-picture projectors to show movies.
Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation is electromagnetic irradiation with a wavelength (100–400 nm) shorter than that of visible light (400–700 nm), but longer than x-rays (<100 nm) (Figure 1). UV irradiation is divided into four distinct spectral areas including vacuum UV (100–200 nm), UVC (200–280 nm), UVB (280–315 nm) and UVA (315–400 nm) (Figure 1) . The mechanism of UVC inactivation of microorganisms is to damage the genetic material in the nucleus of the cell or nucleic acids in the virus . The UVC spectrum, especially the range of 250–270 nm, is strongly absorbed by the nucleic acids of a microorganism and, therefore, is the most lethal range of wavelengths for microorganisms. This range, with 262 nm being the peak germicidal wavelength, is known as the germicidal spectrum . The light-induced damage to the DNA and RNA of a microorganism often results from the dimerization of pyrimidine molecules. In particular, thymine (which is only found only in DNA) produces cyclobutane dimers. When thymine molecules are dimerized, it becomes very difficult for the nucleic acids to replicate and if replication does occur it often produces a defect that prevents the microorganism from being viable.
2, The full form of UVC is USB Video Class. It’s used on Technology ,Specifications & Standards in Worldwide
The USB video device class (also USB video class or UVC) is a USB device class that describes devices capable of streaming video like webcams, digital camcorders, analog video converters, and still-image cameras.
This page holds a list of known UVC-compatible devices, arranged by category. References are included.
Video Class, in this case, means moving video from a web camera or digital video camera to another device like a display, or PC, or game console.
UVC is built into Windows, Mac OX, Linux, FreeBSD, and the PS3.
Simply, UVC makes it easier by standardizing video drivers. So any Video Camera could use the standard UVC driver in those platforms. The Video Camera maker only needs to worry about the embedded firmware in the Video Camera itself.
USB Video Class (UVC) is a standard class specification that standardizes video streaming functionality on the USB. It enables devices like webcams, digital camcorders, analog video converters, analog and digital television tuners etc to connect seamlessly with host machines.
UVC supports streaming multiple video formats including YUV, MJPEG, MPEG-2 TS, H.264, DV etc. It provides structures for describing the functionalities of the video device to the host and defines USB requests to control different parameters of the device and characteristics of the video stream. It also provides flexibility for a video device to support multiple video resolutions, formats and frame rates, which highly influences the bandwidth negotiation between the device and the host. Many OS platforms have native support for UVC drivers which greatly reduces the time required for developers to create USB video devices.
3, The full form of UVC is Uniform Vehicle Code. It’s used on Governmental ,Law & Legal in United States
The Uniform Vehicle Code (UVC) is a model act by the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Laws and Ordinances, a private non-profit organization. Most of the members are state governments, in addition to some related organizations. The extent to which the code is used varies by each state, the District of Columbia, territory, and Native American tribe. It was last updated in 2000.
Although the UVC was broadly influential, virtually all American jurisdictions extensively rearranged, renumbered, and rewrote various UVC sections in the process of enacting them. One example of the resulting complexity is that in 1979, the NCUTLO needed 262 pages just to explain all state-by-state variations of each section of UVC Chapter 11, Rules of the Road.
Some time not long after the release of the 2000 edition, ” [the] NCUTLO went into hiatus because of a lack of funding. The primary problem was that the Internet provided, at no cost, much of the information that was previously easily available only from the committee for the cost of an annual membership.” It has since ceased operations. In the absence of NCUTLO, the NCUTCD (the NCUTLO’s counterpart in the development of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) has appointed a task force to review potentially outdated portions of the most recent edition of the UVC, and to propose updated language. The last update was issued in 2015.
4, The full form of UVC is Umbilical Venous Catheter. It’s used on Medical ,Instruments & Equipment in Worldwide
Umbilical venous catheters (UVCs) are commonly used in neonates for vascular access and should be carefully assessed for position on all neonatal films.
An umbilical venous catheter generally passes directly superiorly and remains relatively anterior in the abdomen. It passes through the umbilicus, umbilical vein, left portal vein, ductus venosus, middle or left hepatic vein, and into the inferior vena cava.
The tip should lie at the junction of the inferior vena cava with the right atrium.
